Ag in the Classroom:

The goal of the Ag in the Classroom program is to help students gain a greater awareness of the role of agriculture in the economy and society, so that they may become citizens who support wise agricultural policies.

Farm Bureau sponsors Agriculture Days for schools, provides resources and presentations to teachers and students and provides farm visits for urban students. Colorado Farm Bureau supports and assists the Colorado Foundation for Agriculture, who publishes the Colorado Reader, organizes Summer Ag Institutes for teachers and develops CD-ROM programs and other resources on agriculture. Materials are specifically designed to incorporate Colorado agriculture into the normal curriculum.
