Collegiate Farm Bureau:

In 1999, the Colorado Farm Bureau Board of Directors authorized the formation of a Colorado State University Collegiate Farm Bureau. The chapter was formed to give students the opportunity to become involved in Farm Bureau while learning about agricultural issues and policies as well as developing future leaders for the agricultural industry.

In 2002, a second Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter was formed on the campus of Northeastern Junior College in Sterling. Both Collegiate Farm Bureaus are supported by the Colorado Farm Bureau and membership is open to any student attending CSU or NJC.

The chapters annually elect officers who are responsible for the planning and execution of all chapter programs. The chapter executive board elects a faculty advisory from the College of Agriculture each year. The chapter functions much like a county Farm Bureau. Projects are broken down by committees such as legislative affairs, debate, ag education and ag promotion.
